Gustazo Cuban Cafe Waltham

EXCEPTIONAL! The food was unique, savory and flavorful!

We have been dining at Gustavo for years and have always loved it. It has been our go to restaurant for all sorts of occasions. This time was a huge disappointment. Almost every dish we had was EXTREMELY SALTY. The lamb chops and prime rib small plates were close to inedible there was so much salt it was hard to taste anything else. The ribs were fine but the arugula under them was doused with salt. Even the salad was very very salty. We shared about 9 dishes and almost all had the same issue. The one exception was the deserts they were the best part of the meal. Both the flan and key lime pie were excellent. I don’t know if there is a new chef or a new salt shaker but sadly we will think twice before dining at Gustavo again.

TOO LOUD!!! Simple sound dampening decor would go a long way. Conversation is challenging

Gustazo was the perfect dining stop after a long road trip on way to Boston. Every tapa we tried was delicious and unique, and the cocktails just hit the spot. Highly recommend!!
