Sling Shot Charlie's - Walterhill

Two disappointments 9n my first visit. Menu items were misleading. Ended up getting a veggie plate. The fried items were all greasy and over salted. Not sure I'll go back. There are closer places with much better food.

If you want to step back in time a bit to when they had specials on a chalkboard, servers were sweet and the food was like grandma's this is the place for you. There wasn't a huge menu except for the desserts. Blackberry cobbler was outstanding. Chicken and dressing was really good not dry like some. Chicken tenders were really good too. Service was maybe a little slow but it was a busy Sunday. Cool pictures on the walls. Good times, good food and a good nap afterwards.

Decent home-style food, but it took longer than it should have. Tables seated after we ordered were served before ours, and ours was incomplete. The staff is friendly and prices are reasonable.

It's a good place to get some home cooking. Everyone especially enjoyed the chicken and dressing.

Excellent food. We had the Firehouse Burger which was pretty spicy but had great flavor. No alcohol served here but you were there for the food and ambiance.
