Golden Wattle Cafe Bakery - WALPOLE

Friday night, 19h00, 50% discount on la Fourchette, what could possibly go wrong in this completely empty South-Asian run sushi restaurant? 'Empty' isn't

We stopped in here on a Sunday lunch time. There is a big range to choose from but we chose pies/pasties and they were very good. We also enjoyed vanilla slices and these were excellent too. Staff were friendly and toilets were through the service station.

Needed a refresher on the drive from Albany via a few scenic detours. It was raining so I headed to the nearest vacant parking space and my wife volunteered to go source the coffees. As luck would have it, I had parked opposite this bakery. I was soon sipping a very very tasty hot cappuccino and eating an equally tasty small apple pie. Granddaughter enjoyed her hot chocolate. Cappuccino and pie as good as I have enjoyed anywhere and at a very low cost.

Travelling from Margaret River to Albany which is a longish drive so needed somewhere to stop for lunch. This place is situated next to the petrol station and colocated with the butcher. We had a warmed filled Turkish roll, hot drinks and an apple turnover. There's plenty of seating inside and a couple of tables on the veranda. Service was prompt and cheerful, there's a menu to suit all tastes and reasonable prices. Noticed locals seemed to frequent the place so it can't be bad! There's nothing much going on in sleepy old Walpole but it's a handy place to get out and stretch your legs.
