It never takes longer than 15 minutes. My go-to is the chicken pho The broth is 10/10The chicken is 10/10& they're extremely generous with the toppings. Although I have never stayed to eat my pho, it's very clean and you can always find a table. I've never seen more than 5-10 people at a time. There's also great dessert places right next door. As for the ambiance, it's quite peaceful. There's always an interesting movie playing on the television.
This place continues to be our go to for Vietnamese food. The pho brisket is my favorite and they do a great job with it flavorful broth with a good amount of meat and noodle. The pork bahn mi is tasty and the baguette they use is crisp and flaky, but still soft. I only wish they had a deli style bahn mi. But everything we've had here grilled pork vermicelli noodles, egg rolls, etc. has been great. The people are friendly and it's a comfy little place to get some good pho when the craving strikes.
My spouse wanted to check out this small Pho place across from Mt. Sac. college. Ordered1. Daily special combo it comes with soup choice (item #1 10) along with egg rolls OR shrimp and pork eggroll, a drink and a homemade flan. Ordered #1 Pho Dac Biet Xe Lua The flavor of the soup was good not the best.2. Chicken baguette It was perfectly warm delicious crunchy sandwich. The marinated chicken was different and delicious. The service was fast and friendly. The only reason for one less star is because of the price.Overall, we enjoyed our meal.
I feel this spot has changed since my last review. I had glowing reviews for the brisket, which made this spot stand out more than others. I finally returned after 1-2 years, and found that the meat and portions became very ordinary. The soup was tasty and tastes more like local pho now, but the large bowl barely had any meat and noodles compared to previous. I left still hungry.I'd return out of convenience because this is the closest pho place to my home.I'd like to note that the prices for this spot are still very fair($14 large), so they maybe adjusted portions to account for rising food costs. I would rather just pay more base price for more of everything.
The first time I had the best chicken friend rice was when I was seven. It was in a small restaurant in Downtown LA that no longer exist.Thursday i had take out; I was craving PHO because I was sick and a nice broth sounded like a good idea. I've had it before, full of vegetables, mushrooms, Bok Choi, you get it. I took a chance in the chicken friend rice not expecting much, but wow was I surprised. It took me back to my earlier years friend rice experience.BravoTake out service was ok, Straightforward owners, you pay you go. Dining service is a lot nicer and friendlier.
