Monte De-rey - Walkertown

No wait for a table on a Friday at 7:30 waiter was good, food was fast, an had great taste.

Here’s my take on the best Monte de Rey. Although I live closer to the Kernersville location, I always prefer the Walkertown one. I can confidently say that the chefs here prioritize the quality of their food. Over the past few years, I've never had a bad experience with my orders.

I wasn't particularly impressed with the meal. The taco meat was bland and didn't have any distinct seasoning that stood out. The pork shanks were decent, but again, there was a lack of spices on the meat. On the positive side, the portions were generous and larger than I anticipated. My wife enjoyed her taco salad, but she also noted the meat's lack of seasoning. The prices were excellent, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, it wasn't the worst Mexican restaurant I've dined at, but it's not one I would choose for a Mexican dinner in the future.

We had an amazing experience at this Mexican restaurant! Our group of ten was served quickly, and the food was fantastic.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the triad area. I regularly buy their salsa to take home and to use in other things I do. her personal is always friendly and I probably tried 70% of the menu and never had anything that wasn't delicious. a favorite is the el volcan with huh, steak and chorizo but their ceviche is absolutely the best around!
