Maya Indian Grill - Wakefield

On Friday night, October 20th, I placed an online order two hours in advance. I arrived at the restaurant at the scheduled time, only to wait an hour for my food while I watched over ten other customers pick up their orders. The staff did not offer any explanation for the delay or provide any options to help reduce my wait time. Overall, I would rate the food a 3, but the service and atmosphere were disappointing, both receiving a 1.

Maya is a lovely restaurant situated close to the Wakefield commuter rail station. My husband and I have dined here several times, and we have consistently enjoyed the exceptional quality of both the food and the service. During our recent visit, we sought some comforting Indian cuisine and were warmly welcomed by Santosh, a knowledgeable server who made excellent recommendations for our meal. His hospitality truly enhanced our experience. I highly recommend both Santosh and Maya. While the menu may be small, the quality of the food is outstanding. I dined there for the first time last night and had a wonderful experience. We ordered Gobi Manchurian as an appetizer, along with Chicken Saag and Shrimp Madras for our main courses. Everything was incredibly delicious! Our server, AD, was very attentive and provided excellent service. I definitely plan to return to sample more dishes from the menu! I also noticed some lamb chops being served to another customer, and they looked amazing. That will be my next order!

Picked up take out from Maya for the first time. The Chicken Tikka Masala had so much oil on the top of the sauce and the portion was barely enough for one person, the Rasamaili dessert came in a condiment container and it literally had one tiny dumpling in there, yet the container and amount of Raitha enough for five dinners.
