I went to this restaurant with some friends, had a few drinks and ended up drinking too much. Two days later, I returned and the owner asked to speak with me in private. He informed me that he believed I had been behaving in a racist manner and requested that I finish my drink and leave. I tried to explain that my wife is Asian and my son is biracial, so racism is something I cannot support. However, he did not provide any specific examples of my alleged racism or identify who had complained. Despite my protests, he insisted that I leave the establishment. After a tense exchange, I eventually left the bar with a refund for my drink. I would caution anyone with differing opinions from the local community to avoid this place, as you may be accused of racism simply for being British. My son even remarked that he faces discrimination daily, yet those individuals are not labeled as racist.

This cozy and welcoming pub goes above and beyond to cater to guests' needs. The food is outstanding and the staff is delightful. As someone with coeliac disease, I appreciate their accommodating and understanding approach. Whether you're looking for a casual drink with friends or a special meal for a celebration, this village pub is a fantastic choice. We feel grateful to have found such a wonderful spot. I always enjoy visiting this restaurant because of the fantastic service, delicious food, and friendly staff who go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. The chefs are extremely skilled and I can't wait to come back again. Keep up the great work!
