The staff was friendly, but unfortunately, my dining experience at Gonza Taco Y Tequila in Wake Forest, NC, was disappointing. The food was served cold and tasted rather bland, as if it had been reheated in a microwave. It was the worst Mexican food I’ve ever experienced, even less enjoyable than some microwave dinners. I ordered the enchiladas and plantains, but the tortillas on the enchiladas were cold, the beans lacked flavor, the rice was both dry and cold, and the plantains seemed like they were a day old. I couldn't even finish my meal. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. If you're in search of good Mexican cuisine, there are many other options nearby.

The tacos here are consistently delicious, but I just tried the Plantano for the first time and it was absolutely amazing! This place has a lively atmosphere, making it perfect for a group of friends. It's quite loud and energetic, which adds to the fun. They also offer outdoor seating. If you're planning to come with a group on a weekend night, I suggest making a reservation. The staff are really friendly too!
