Lygon Cafe - Waipapa

This is the best café in the Far North! The food is consistently excellent, and the staff are incredibly friendly. We’ve sampled various dishes from the menu over the years and have always had a great experience with both the food and the drinks. AAA+!

I visited this restaurant yesterday while I was in town for the day, as my dog was undergoing surgery. The place was clean, tidy, warm, and inviting. I ordered the eggs Benedict, and the coffee service was fantastic—super fast! There was also a restroom available and a breakfast bar with bifolding windows where I could sit and charge my phone. They even had some reading material, which was perfect for me while I was waiting for good news about the surgery (which went well!). It was a cool, calm place to relax, exactly what I needed. I appreciated not being rushed out after finishing my meal; having access to these amenities while out of town was incredibly helpful. Thank you!

This is easily the best BIG BREAKFAST I've had in a long time, making for a fantastic start to the day. The food was excellent and generously portioned, and the tea and coffee were both top-notch. The only downside was the frequent opening of the entrance door, which let in some cold air—a bit of a nuisance. However, given that it was in the single digits outside, it wouldn’t be a concern in warmer weather.

Absolutely the best café with fantastic service! Every dish is made from scratch, and there's nothing quite like delicious homemade food. It's the real deal!

The food is incredible. It's a pleasure to be in a comfortable setting with a relaxing atmosphere and an excellent variety of dishes to choose from.
