Subway - Waipahu

I discovered a bug in the spinach of my sandwich, which is definitely not what you want to encounter when you're starving and eagerly anticipating your meal.

The gentleman making the sandwiches was fantastic—super friendly, really helpful with suggestions, and incredibly quick and efficient. He was ready to take my veggie order even before my sandwich popped out of the toaster, and he nailed it! He even offered to add extras if I wanted. Who does that? While I was enjoying my meal in the impeccably clean restaurant, I overheard him making a sandwich over the phone for a customer’s wife, and he was just as friendly and effective with her. That level of service is impressive! This place has a real gem in that sandwich artist, and they’d better keep an eye on him—his customer service skills are top-notch! The only downside is the parking situation for the building; it’s pretty terrible, but that’s not their fault. Just park in the Costco lot on the Makai side, and you should be good to go. Overall, I highly recommend this spot!

I recently visited Subway and was really disappointed with my experience. The employee who took my order was wearing AirPods and seemed totally disconnected from the task at hand. As a result, my order was completely messed up. They forgot several toppings I had requested and even added ones I specifically asked to have left off. To make matters worse, when I pointed out the mistake, the employee simply removed the lettuce from my sandwich and tossed it back into the bin for reuse. This is not only unsanitary but completely unacceptable. It was obvious that they were more focused on their music than on their work. I wouldn't recommend this Subway location to anyone. The lack of attention to detail and disregard for cleanliness were major turn-offs. I will definitely be looking for a different place to get my sandwiches from now on.

Hands down the best Subway I have been to on the island. First and foremost they have a bathroom for the customers unlike the one in Wahiawa and the one in Kapolei in the Target shopping center! The staff was nice and prompt! Overall the atmosphere was great! My new favorite location for Subway on the island! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30
