Cm Chicken - Waipahu

Delicious! We stumbled upon this place looking for something to bring to potluck. Chicken is crispy, price is right and flavor is amazing. We tried the original, which was perfect moist inside with a super crunchy outside. My husband isn't into saucey fried chicken, so the original was perfect for him. We also got the soy tikkubak, which is fried, sauced and then baked in a special tikku oven. That one was bomb. Full of flavor, with a super crispy outside. We ordered the 2 full chickens and an extra order of drumsticks and it was a lot of pieces. Everything was really good.

Wouldn't come here again. I've worked in a restaurant, and by the looks of the chicken, I can tell that the oil hasn't been changed in a while. You can even taste it on the first bite. I've given this place a couple of tries and it's pretty inconsistent, and the staff has forgotten my rice on several occasions. I also seen a few of them smoking right in front of the store then going straight in to tend to customers without washing their hands.

Let me be clear. I like fried chicken and KFC happens to be a great example of said food. I don 't eat it because I 'm pedo and into K-drama and K-pop. Sexualized Korean children singing and dancing? NOPE! That said, CM 's cluck is my kind of cluck! It 's all about the drums. HUGE, meaty, salt water brined from cage free birds. Perfectly breaded, well seasoned with a good spice kick (the plain fried chicken has heat to it). Ultra crisp even an hour after purchase. The soy chicken amps up the flavor with sweet soy and a kick of garlic goodness while still maintaining much of the crunchy exterior. The tikkudak takes the same soy dipped fried chicken and grills it. It becomes less crisp but the flavors more pronounced with bitter notes from the grilling. Good but why ruin the perfect fry? Note: Chicken is available as wings, tenders, drums or a whole chicken. Tip: Pass on the fried mozzarella sticks. Loaded with chemical preservatives and taste like some frozen Costco product. Inexpensive. Starting at $14/ seven giant drums. Easy online ordering with chicken ready at promised time. Forget just the KFC category, CM 's fried cluck ranks near the top of all fried chicken on the island.
