The Shrimp Station Waimea

There's a sizable shrimp shack located on the way to or from Waimea Canyon. We tried the coconut shrimp, which was tasty. The other dishes looked delicious, but we weren’t in the mood to peel the seasoned shrimp. The coconut shrimp was priced at $12.50 for about 10-12 pieces. If the garlic shrimp or Cajun shrimp had different prices based on whether they were peeled or unpeeled, I would have definitely ordered both in a peeled version.

Positive reviews brought me to this place, and it did not disappoint. I tried the Got Garlic dish, and I absolutely loved it. The garlic flavor is delicious without being overpowering, perfectly balanced with creamy coconut milk. Just a heads-up: there’s no indoor seating, but there is an outdoor area. It might get quite hot on a summer day. There's also a smoothie and fruit shop next door, which is a nice touch!

It may be a small spot, but you can definitely rely on this hidden gem for excellent food. We stopped here for a quick bite after visiting Waimea Canyon. The restaurant only has outdoor seating, but it is covered, providing a nice shady area to sit. When we arrived earlier, there were quite a few tour buses that had stopped, making it quite crowded. Depending on the time of day, you might have to wait for your food, so it’s not the best choice if you're in a rush. That said, it’s the island life, and if you’re in a hurry, you might just end up feeling frustrated.

Looking for love and shrimp? This is the place???? All kinds of shrimp from broken to fried to hamburger and tacos. I thought the garlic shrimp was best, but the woman loved the tacos. Don't you scream? Probably look at the wrong place, but I guess you can get a hot dog that has a non-shrimp thing on the menu. This place is good, parking is easy, staff aloha friendly. It can be occupied, and sitting is limited, but most people do not stay too long. The chickens also want to eat your food. It is not a fantasy set with waiter service, its order on the window-style joint. But they take cards and give you shrimp related food so that a victory.

Highly recommend the coconut shrimp. Nothing fancy, but perfectly made with generous portions. Plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy your meal.
