Hawaiian Island Cafe - Waimanalo

Absolutely delicious. Get out of the city and come eat some real Hawaiian food. So Ono.

...6 years later, place is still incredible. Now the owners father made our youngest daughter a beautiful haku lei!

We held an early lunch today and what a sweet caffe. the staff was very friendly and the food was very good. we had no cheese for the kale pesto burger (for the veggie peeps). an older Hawaiian gentleman gave flowers from his farm. he had the most beautiful smile and he graciously gave up almost all with a flower. the bowls looked fantastic, so can be for one again.

Came around eleven, not too busy. a sandwich and a yoghurt dish ordered. waiting after thirty minutes, asked for food status. it was said five minutes. ten minutes later, asked again. get that sandwich. ten minutes later, asked again, was said to make the other article. my wife asked for a free drink or a piece of bread for the waiting period, was said we had to pay. After an hour we got the yogurt pan, and my wife got a free lol coke can. They don't come here unless they wait.

Sunshine smoothie was the best. It's like a pina colada without the rum of course and with other delicious ingredients. It was so good that I got brain freeze from drinking too fast.
