Waikino Station Cafe

The food was absolutely delicious, and it was lovely sitting next to the open fire on a cold winter's day.

YUMMY!!Visited several times over a couple of days. Yummy food, bit pricey but delicious...good service especially from Raewyn. Coffee disappointing though only luke warm and pretty tasteless. Still, it was an interesting place to visit. We travelled here on the first train (10am) from Waihi, and had plenty of time to walk to discover this interesting Karangahake area before returning to catch the last train at 2.30pm back to Waihi.

Magic well done team. We even got 'Old Farts ' Gold card discount. And a great brunch. Another well done.

I recently took a train ride from Waihi to Waikino Station and stopped at the cafe for brunch. I ordered a ham panini with ham, cheese, pineapple, and apricot chutney, along with a long black coffee. It was incredibly delicious! We also grabbed some baked treats (peanut brownies and ginger slice) to-go, and they were clearly homemade and very tasty. The atmosphere at the cafe was adorable and the staff were lovely. I highly recommend this place.
