Taqueria El Crucero - Waco

I had a fantastic experience at this taco shop! I ordered the California Burrito and added grilled steak—it was enormous, weighing in at two pounds. The location is straightforward, right on Highway 77 just south of the traffic circle. Overall, it’s a great value!

I really enjoy dining there, and my kids are always so happy when we go. I highly recommend the Queen and the nachos!

El Crucero can do no wrong. Since they’ve switched to cashless payments, it’s a bit less convenient, but everything they offer is excellent. Their breakfast tacos are among the best in Waco, and at just $2 each, they're a steal. I also tried their lunch tacos, and while all of them are tasty, the pastor and asada are my top picks. Both salsas are delightful; the red salsa is milder than the green. Their tortillas are fantastic too! I recently bought a dozen flour tortillas for a family meal, and they were much better than store-bought. Just a heads up: don’t forget to bring cash. You can enjoy breakfast for as little as $2 and have a hearty lunch for around $6 to $8.

The food is fresh and delicious. There is only one ride through and they only accept cash, but I think the food is phenomenal. There is always a long line and it moves fast.

My favorite food in Waco. Amazing pork in verde sauce. Get a pupusa on the side! Corn tortillas are the best I've ever had.
