Brazos Bistro - Waco

I called to place a brunch order to go, as we’ve done in the past—sometimes we even eat at the bar since we live nearby. However, today I was informed that they only had three handheld breakfast items available at 11 AM on a Sunday, with no waffles or eggs Benedict offered. When I asked for clarification, the staff member seemed uninterested and simply asked if I would choose from the three options. I declined and said we would go elsewhere instead. It was disappointing to see that brunch is no longer an option here.

Many people had suggested this restaurant as a romantic spot, but I found it to be anything but. With loud TVs showing sports games, the atmosphere was casual rather than intimate. While this setting might appeal to some, don't expect a romantic vibe. On a positive note, my cocktail was delightful, and the queso appetizer and wedge salad were quite tasty. However, everything felt overpriced for what it offered. And as for the wagyu burger, it comes with tater tots, which I find somewhat odd.

The service was fine, but I ordered a burger with a side bibb salad and when I got home, I noticed they had just given me about seven pieces of bibb lettuce instead of a smaller version of the salad. It wouldn’t be a big deal if I hadn’t been charged $5 for it. I’m not sure how they felt good about packaging that up! On a positive note, the burger was cooked correctly, but it wasn’t the best I’ve had. Maybe their other menu items are better!

Food was delicious!!! It was technically breakfast however qt the time I ate, it served as brunch. Service was ok. The place was pretty empty when we arrived however took a while for our server to come out. She was also the bartender so she did have aot ofwork to do. She didn't get around to refilling our water glasses. Dirty silverware was not cool. We also had to go to the barflag the server down to pay. And she thought we were new customers. Mayne more help on a Sunday morning would be nice foreveryone.

We have visited the Brazos Bar Bistro multiple times during our trips to Waco, and everything on the menu is absolutely delicious. The presentation of the dishes is always spot-on, and the staff is very professional. They also offer excellent suggestions based on personal preferences!
