"I had high expectations for this place, and I was not disappointed. The environment was very comfortable, with spacious dining areas. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful. The restaurant had a charming atmosphere, and the food was delicious. My husband made a standard request, and the staff responded positively and pleasantly. We can’t wait to go back to S22!"

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, and the service was excellent. As a bonus for booking directly, we received a coupon for four ice cream scoops at the hotel's soda shop, along with two complimentary cookies. Our room was spacious and well-appointed. As a boutique hotel, it truly lives up to its reputation!

Dinner at the hotel was mediocre and overpriced—$29 for a strip loin, which was disappointing. The broccoli was undercooked as well. Breakfast, on the other hand, was quite good. I had requested a walk-in shower due to a knee injury, but received a bathtub/shower combo instead. The same staff member who checked on the air conditioning also handled my check-out but didn't offer any discount or even a suggestion to speak to a manager about the air conditioning issue. This makes me wonder whether they are aware of these problems and just choose to ignore them. To add to the frustration, I couldn't take a shower because I had difficulty using the bathtub. Additionally, I didn't experience any hot water issues. I feel that if a discount had been provided, I would have rated my stay more favorably and might have considered returning in the future. The pillows under the cases were stained yellow, which was quite off-putting; they really should use waterproof covers for hygiene. The coffee provided in the room was Costco Kirkland brand, which is fairly inexpensive. The curtains were cheap and didn’t fully open, preventing me from enjoying the street view as they were tightly painted onto the curtain rod. The windows only opened a few inches, which was disappointing. Overall, it seems the hotel is being operated on a tight budget. I truly wanted this to be a great experience, as another guest mentioned, but unfortunately, I doubt I'll be back.

We are often flyers on which no hot water plan at the Charley Creek Inn. No more excuse for it, and I'm tired of the lame excuses and shoulders that argue about the problem. A nice hotel that can't deliver hot water to your room because you didn't get up early enough is just wrong. This place is not cheap and guests deserve better. No more...

Beautifully restored hotel! Very interesting history! Reasonably priced! Service was excellent! We felt like we were at the Palmer House in Chicago! But only 50 mins from home not 3 hours! Looks like Wabash has some real gems we didn’t know about! We will definitely visit again!
