We met with friends and chose the mares as it is possible here to feed á la map. There is only a fixed menu in the gourmet restaurant. But it is the same kitchen as usual. The hotel in a small part of Vreden is welcoming, brick building and exterior view over a beautiful outdoor area that I deliberately do not call beer garden. Exterior area Since the weather was nice, we took out our aperitif in the form of a glass of champagne at cheap EUR 3.50, a Radeberger Pils (EUR 3.90 for 0.3 l) and even Altbier (0.33 l to EUR 3.10). We had ordered a table, but as it is, if you haven't seen yourself for a few months, try the drinks, the weather is fantastic, the time passes in the flight. So the service told us if we don't want to choose our food outside for inside and then when it's finished, we change the premises. Food and beverages were selected and we could continue quietly. We were then asked to tables and it went to the premises of the Clemens Restaurant, as the mares were completely occupied in the meantime. But that was an advantage we liked to accept. Rooms from the Clemens Restaurant I only refer to the dishes of my better half and to me during the review. I had as an appetizer the asparagus soup, delicious, slightly sweet, creamy and with asparagus pieces on EUR 5,00. Spargel cream soup I stayed in the asparagus, ordered a part to EUR 11,50 with a lapping steak that met with EUR 18,50. Butter and sauce Hollandaise were added. It was of course a homemade sauce Hollandaise, fantastic good. The asparagus tender and with a lot of taste, in no way watery. The piece of meat, well dimensioned, was also of excellent quality and perfectly fried, excellently spiced. Rumpsteak with asparagus My wife was short after a main dish and she really wanted a real Viennese carving with roast potatoes and a mixed salad with a slightly sweet marinade. The panade must be fluffy as it must be and under it delicate calf. The salad was also of very good fresh quality. Fair EUR 17,80 on the invoice. Wienerschnitzel Supplement Salat Gut, no appetizer, but still place for a dessert with my wife cream Brulee with mousse of dark chocolate and homemade port wine ice cream. Great! Cream Brulee The drunken wines: once one of my favorite wines Schneider's Black Print on EUR 35, the bottle and a rosé on EUR 21, but I can't remember from where.... on the invoice stood only wine Div. but also this corresponded to the taste of the ladies. The service inconspicuously good, attentive, friendly. A good price/performance ratio that animates for return.
