Chin's Szechwan Vista

The prices have increased significantly, and it's hard to say when their menu was last updated online. The lunch specials we ordered came to around $20 after tax, which partly explains why the place was so empty. We were also disappointed that we couldn’t choose our soup or appetizers. The soup was excessively salty, and I couldn’t even identify what it was as the waiter was unhelpful in providing information. On a positive note, the cucumber salad with dressing was good, and the walnut shrimp was enjoyable. However, the rice was bland and could have used some flavor—not just more salt! The only seasonings available were salt and pepper sauce. A garlic or peanut sauce, or any other type of sauce, would have made a big difference, but instead, everything was overwhelmingly salty. Overall, I would be hesitant to return to this restaurant. It felt like the kitchen might have had an off day with the soup and rice, and I really wish I could have had a choice regarding my appetizers. Unfortunately, no substitutions are allowed, and I don’t think I’ll be back to deal with that waiter again.

There aren't many good options for Chinese food in this area. Chin was adequate, but the prices felt a bit high for what you receive. Additionally, it seemed like there was only one or two waitstaff for the entire restaurant, resulting in slow service.

Our two favorite dishes are Walnut Shrimp and Orange Beef. After living in Georgetown, TX for three years without finding a restaurant that could prepare these dishes, my husband and I are thrilled to have discovered Chin's. Our server was friendly and attentive to our needs. We’re definitely coming back!

I drove past this place several times, and I'm glad I finally made the stop. The service is phenomenal. The waiters are very attentive and helpful. The food is really tasteful and comes hot. Very nice dinner and lunch. Take the family back.

We are so happy to be able to visit our favorite Chinese restaurant on our vacation from Vermont this year! The food was delicious and the staff were super attentive and helpful!
