Barrel Harbor Brewing - Vista

I haven't tried this yet. Did you know you can get beer during Covid time? You can get growler refills Wed-Sun 4-6p. They have a bunch of IPAs, ales and a Belgian. I'm all about ales! It is kind of hard to find in the middle of industrial concrete buildings and there is no sign. It's Suite 104 between NML and BioPhase Science.

The outside of this place was very deceiving, totally industrial, you would not have guessed there was a brewery here. Smart thinking. When you walk in, it's soo open and high ceilings and so much room. They had a wide variety of beers, all were good that I tasted. There was games to play, tv's to watch, super chill, not a dressed up type of venue, just come and relax and have a beer. Which is exactly what we did.

Fantastic beer! Great place for friends to reunite. Loved the friendly staff. Parking is amazing.

We 've seen Barrel Harbor at beer festivals (the angry octopus aka Kraken) and enjoy their IPAs. We stopped by but was at first hesitant. We 've been to quite a lot of smaller breweries lately and they seem to disappoint us with their flavorless beers. We had time to kill so we said eff it, we 'll try it. BH makes good West Coast IPAs. If you 're into that style. I wouldn 't choose west coast over New England style but I know that they do a good job here. Service was also friendly.

I really liked this location. Cool nautical theme, great amount of space and use of wood in the build out. The owner was there and we talked a lot about beer styles and their beer. I brought my beer ninja accomplice (aka my sister) and we set about to trying their beers. 1. Blunderbuss Blonde (6.5% ABV). Nice starter. Clean, and easy to drink, this is great to begin with. Good for Pilsner fans as well. 2. Brown Ale (5% ABV). Low IBU which I appreciate. slight sweetness for me and nutty enough to make it work. So tasty. 3. Red Ale (5.2% ABV). Little bit of hoppiness to it, but I liked it. The roasted malts were perfect to go with that, so it was quite drinkable. For a good place to hang out and drink, give this one a try.
