Yukai Japanese Buffet - Virginia Beach

We make it a point to visit this restaurant every time we're at Virginia Beach. We've been coming here since 2017, and we love the extensive sushi selection. The other dishes are equally delicious, and the hibachi is spot on. The service is generally pretty good, too. Take a moment to look around before you decide, and if the food looks fresh and appetizing, go for it without hesitation. Just overlook the waitstaff if they're having an off day.

This restaurant is truly outstanding. It's important to adjust your expectations to match a buffet setting, but the quality and price are unbeatable. The standout dishes include the fried foods and Chinese cuisine, which are both authentic and amazing. The seafood is fresh and top-notch, especially the crabs and shrimp, which are fantastic. The staff is attentive, and the level of service and cleanliness is very impressive. Even the fruit is freshly cut and perfectly ripe. I will definitely return every time I visit!

So comfortable and nice environment. All types of positive vibes: family, date night, grabbing a bite.... all cultures just enjoying food. My fiance and I are definitely coming back.

Overall, our dining experience was quite enjoyable. The food was fresh, and our server was attentive, promptly assisting us whenever we needed drink refills or needed to clear empty plates. Although the buffet selection was somewhat limited, being a Japanese restaurant, there was a wide variety of sushi available. We particularly liked the crab, shellfish, and oysters offered next to the sushi bar. Additionally, there is a Hibachi Grill where you can have noodles prepared right in front of you. For dessert, there’s ice cream available for the kids. We were really impressed with the food, the decor, and the service. We will definitely return when we’re looking for a seafood buffet in Virginia Beach. If I remember correctly, the Saturday price was $21.99 for adults and $13.99 for children. Given the rising costs of everything due to inflation, I think it’s a reasonable deal.

I and my family came down to visit Virginia from Ontario and saw that this place was in the area. The food and service was great, there were a variety of foods to choose. Many sushi and seafood, we were particularly surprised when we saw oysters there! Our servers were very nice and attentive, thank you! We had a great time.
