Waffles Co - Virginia Beach

The service from our waitress was good, but the host wasn’t as attentive. I noticed her on her phone every time I stood up, even when we were settling our bill. As for the food, I would rate it a 2 out of 10. I ordered Chicken and Waffles, and the chicken was extremely burnt. I really can’t understand how they thought it was acceptable to serve that dish.

Save yourself the time and money. When I inquired about the price of the buffet, it seemed like the waitress didn't hear me. The buffet is way overpriced, and they don't mention the cost beforehand. Charging $19.99 for this buffet is simply outrageous; it's more like a $7-$8 value. The waitress claimed everything on the buffet was amazing, but that wasn't the case. The bacon was terrible, the biscuits were hard, and I found two pieces of hair in my cold eggs. The kielbasa sausage looked like some sort of mystery meat.

EXCELLENT SERVICE, DELICIOUS FOOD! The prices were a bit higher than I anticipated, given the quality of some items on the buffet, but overall, the experience was fantastic. We would definitely return just to see our server again; she was wonderful and made our early morning arrival so pleasant, especially after our 14-hour drive.

I stopped by for a quick lunch, but things didn't go smoothly. After waiting 15 minutes for our order, we were informed that one of the items was unavailable. The onion rings that arrived were hard and completely drenched in oil—unfortunately, they were inedible. The salad we received was missing the chicken we specifically requested. When they finally brought out a new salad with chicken, the grilled chicken was as tough as a rock and incredibly dry. My meal, which consisted of chicken strips and fries, never even got put in after a 45-minute wait. While the servers were very friendly, it was clear the restaurant was severely understaffed. The restrooms were also in a pretty disgusting state. To top it off, our order on the receipt was incorrect. Overall, the place has potential, but it really needs better management and more staff!

Tourist trap. Buffet overpriced. Poor quality food, pancakes were ok. Coffee was watered down. Limited selection of food items not worth the price. Restaurant was run down and dirty looking. Female in our party used the ladies restroom and was horrified by the uncleanliness and what looked like vomit on the floor. Waitress got our drink order wrong. The bacon was awful, greasy scraps of fat. I think the tourists who don't know what they are getting into is the only way this dump stays open, because I can't imagine anyone going back there a second time. Avoid.
