Venuto - Virginia Beach

The food at Venuto is outstanding. I tried the Linguine Di Mare with mussels, and it exceeded my expectations. The sauce had a light spicy kick, and the flavors were incredibly well-balanced. I could taste the wonderful aromas of seafood, tomatoes, and meat coming together in a delightful explosion of flavors. They also serve complimentary bread, which is delicious, and the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and cask combo for dipping is a fantastic touch. The service was fast and friendly, and they offer Peroni on tap. I did try a cocktail, a cherry-based concoction, but it wasn’t to my taste—I found it reminiscent of cherry cough drops. However, that’s just a matter of personal preference, and someone else might enjoy it. Overall, I’m really glad I chose Venuto for a last-minute dinner. I’m not sure if I’ll be back in the area, but if I am, Venuto will definitely be on my list of places to revisit.

The boneless beef short ribs were absolutely exquisite, and I would gladly return every day of the week for their incredibly tender preparation, enhanced by thoughtfully chosen spices, perfectly complemented by sautéed spinach and roasted potatoes. Everyone in our group of eleven was thoroughly satisfied with their meals, and the portion sizes were generous enough to leave leftovers for lunch the next day—still delicious! The entire restaurant staff operated as a well-coordinated team, which was impressive compared to my experiences at several other local establishments. Despite our large party, they managed to serve our dishes and drinks efficiently, ensuring a seamless dining experience. I will definitely be back, and I highly recommend this restaurant!

That was a terrible experience. I'm never one to write reviews, but according to my experience here I felt it necessary. It took 2 hours to get our ducks. We ordered 4 standard meals and it took two hours. The 11 top table, which ordered 30 minutes after us, got her food before us. When this was brought to the attention of the staff, the owner came by and was extremely rude, did not apologize and gave us the run around. When the food finally arrived at the table, my salmon was RAW. Nobody apologized. I am extremely unhappy and will not return. It's a shame, because when the food finally came out, it was very good. It won't come back.

Our server, Cole was spot on and very attentive. Never having to ask for a refill, it always just appeared (its the lil things). Food was absolutely delicious all around and great deal on a 2 dinner meal!
