La Vera Pizzeria - Virginia Beach

I would give La Vera, VB Police and door dash 6 stars for this epic delivery. I ordered on line at 730pm on Memorial Day and all went as you would expect until I received a phone call from the door dash driver. He proceeded to let me know that he had been pulled over by the police for a tag issue but was still planning to deliver the pizza. I called La Vera and let them know of the delay and the owner promptly said he would make another order and deliver it himself. Shortly after I hung up the doordash driver called back and handed the phone to the police office, the officer asked for my address and said he would bring me the pizza, I was amazed at the drivers tenacity to deliver the pizza and the officer for really going above and beyond in serving the community. The officer arrived with the pizza followed shortly thereafter by La Vera Pizzeria owner delivering my reorder. 5 stars for all!

I ordered the New Yorker pizza, and I was impressed. The crust was thin and had a wonderful flavor. I'm typically not a fan of pepperoni or Italian sausage, but the combination on this pizza, along with the ricotta and mozzarella, was just perfect. I would definitely return to try more items on the menu. The staff were very friendly, too.

My girlfriend and I went to have lunch together, and we had a fantastic experience!

This place serves very delicious pizzas and salads. Their grilled chicken topping is very flavorful and succulent. The staff was very accommodating and made custom dish for my parents who are diabetic. I would strongly recommend this place.
