Chops - Virginia Beach

I took my friend out to celebrate his birthday, everything was wonderful

Chops is lovely, near oceanfront, classy restaurant. We were quickly seated, served water and hot bread/butter.we opted for prefixed menu. Each course had several options. We started with the fried scrimp , perfectly fried pair of shrimp with dipping sauce. We each had fish of the day which was flounder topped with crabmeat served on generous bed of mashed potatoes and asparagus. For dessert we had the chocolate cake and cheesecake. Both delicious. We would definitely recommend for special occasion, a little pricey for everyday dining.

Service was great, staff was friendly, and the food was excellent, with portions just the right size. This was our 3rd visit to Chops and we were not disappointed.

The steak was overly salty, and there were only two pieces of asparagus, which seemed barely blanched. Given the price, I was quite disappointed with the overall taste.
