Auberge Le Chene - Violay

After several disappointing essays in the region and not that ... we found following a pretty road a hostel where the prevenance and kindness of the ladies, patron and waitresses, make you forget that Italy (country of heart and gastronomy is so far away. Although the clientele are numerous you are unique in the care and attention you are being paid. A rich and copier table where the choice is quite varied! The trout paw is perfect. It can also be counted on raw vegetables and salads and vegetables for the non-viand. Cheese and desserts (lemon darts !!! etc. are of quality, good coffee and the road opens with a feeling of satisfaction... rare and very appreciated. A flat for me who's a friend of frogs... I forgot: book!

After a hike we wanted the menu of the day to 16th No question and above all no way to escape the fries salad followed by a dessert at 24th while the "worker" menu offered buffet of crudities and various entries fish and vegetables, white or dry cheese and dessert for 8th less.We will not go back, if we want to avoid meat, we must go elsewhere. Too bad but it's a little overwhelmed

A family meal with children, we get badly received, the waitress does not offer us the menu of the day or the menu. We have to ask them. Steak fries served without even a salad leaf. Restaurant d’habitué apparement, they don’t seem to want tourists!

The kitchen with good product...so with taste and homemade pastry. (black forest... lemon peat) delicious Welcome.... we will return...

Great discovery! Welcome and very friendly service. Aperitives house served with tapnade and small croûton, very generous Burgundian salad in snails and bacon, back of place in crust of tasty and very well accompanied spices, plate of cheeses and homemade ice. Excellent price. Don’t hesitate to make a gourmet stop! NB : if camping caristes sur aire CCP de Violay, prefer the bike route as the paths recommended by Mappy (or then with good mountain bikes)!!!
