It was pretty good. They could do with a little better description of what some things are (for us round eyes) But the food was very good and the service was too.
S l o w service and the food is subpar at best. One waitress for the WHOLE place. We felt sorry for her. I ordered the $26.99 filet mignon and lobster tail dinner.. it looked like a hot mess. My husband ordered a teriyaki dinner with the jumbo shrimp and his plate looked WAY better than my dinner, and his was around $16.00. My filet was diced up into little chewy bites that tasted like hamburger and the lobster was cut up so small and was like chewing badly cooked calamari. I did not eat anything on my plate, except, one bite of each item, for tasting. The fried rice was cold. The salad (lettuce was drowning in dressing that was super sweet. (Combined our two bowls of lettuce after removing most of the dressing.. that is the picture. The little bowl of soup was so so salty. No other flavor but salty. My husband's meal was not good either. Looked great but, over cooked medium sized shrimp(not jumbo at all . It was like chewing bubblegum. Cold fried rice, and cold spring roll. The tempura vegetables were okay. I ordered the tataki yellowtail for appetizer and it was done so badly and super over spiced with sauce. Did not get photo of it, sorry. I wish I would have known how bad this place was BEFORE we decided to spend our 20 year anniversary here. So so so disappointed. And to top it off.. they only comped us 10% and we did not even eat most of our meal. I did not even eat my food. I ate some of the tempura veggies off my husband's plate. We will NEVER be back. We gave our waitress a $15.00 tip as it is not at fault for bad scheduling and poor cooking. The Yamato in Springfield Ohio was so amazing!! This one nope.
I got three pieces of zucchini in a $12 meal but other than that it was ok. The Princeton location doesn?t look as nice but the food is definitely better
Pretty decent restaurant for not having any real competition or alternatives in the area for Asian food. It?s unfair to base the quality of food by comparison to a big city. With that being said, I?ve eaten at Japanese restaurants all over the world, including Japan...and obviously, this doesn?t stack up. The food was above average for the area, but below average as a comparison. Average food I?m 100% okay with. What bugged me was that I was only barely diving into my entree when my check was brought to me. Maybe I wanted to spend more money...desert, a after dinner drink...whatever. But they?ll never know...because my check was brought to me 30 minutes too early...
