Przekaż informację zwrotnąWe were travelling from Amnéville (FR to Leukerbad (SW , and stopped at Villersexel looking for a restroom and something to eat. Sunday, everything closed (typical Europe ... but turning a corner, we found this restaurant. We hardly eat at restaurants when we travel (food restrictions, prices plus in Europe there is always a smoker around... , but this time we had the bes experience of our trip. Excellent food, good service, friendliness (hard to find . Next time you drive through Europe, let me give you a hint set Google Maps to avoid tolls you 'll get there later, but much better...
After reading the excellent reviews we booked for 6 adults. Choice of 2 menus, €27 or €39 plus A la Carte. The more expensive included a cheese course that was disappointing, not well presented or an interesting selection. It also included a steak that was absolutely delicious but fatty and the starter of goats cheese looked nothing like the photos in the reviews. One main course and one dessert were not available leaving limited choice left and the tiramisu was inedible! We all left it and no apology or replacement was offered. The main course for the cheaper menu was a very sad,a very thin slice of gammon, again poorly presented. The staff were efficient but not as welcoming as the reviews would suggest and I am sure the desserts were not home made from local produce as the write up led you to believe. I’d recommend giving it a try but choosing carefully from the a la carte.
Fabulous little restaurant with a sunny terace at the foot of the church. Pretty much everything is home made using locally sourced organic seasonal produce. Very friendly service, reasonable prices, definitely worth the detour. Not suited to large groups, but perfect for family or friends. Highly recommend it.
