Creperie du Chateau-Chez Maman

Saturday night of rain. all the restaurants have closed their terrace and in this neighborhood, the majority of the prices are indecent for menus that, once set, do not worth what is presented. So we prefer crêperie to pseudo-gastronomic. the rooms are small but the reception is cordial and the friendly atmosphere. We can not worry about engaging with the occupants of the nearby tables, which augurs a good convivial evening. The card doesn't disappoint. wide choice of cakes and pancakes but also a few other dishes (salads, omelettes) at very reasonable prices. the first galette (classic salt butter) €1.5. the other galettes go up to 7 or 8€. We have tasted: the aperitif home (Credit cassis cream) light and fresh, the galettes (thon-piperade, egg-piperade, basquaise chicken) warm tasteful and hearty, the pancakes (chocolat, plum cream) just as it is necessary to be copiers without a nipple. a litre of cider (pressure.) about 50€ for three people. The toilet, not accessible to persons with motor disabilities, would require a small renovation and a temperature adjustment of the wash-hand.

A good little crêperie in the beautiful area of the castle in Pau.We have dinner on the terrace with a very charming view of this castle. This crêperie is ideally located. That's the first positive point. We eat pretty well. Salted pancakes as sweet are good. Unfortunately, the card is still quite limited despite everything. Indeed, the salted pancakes lack a little choice and variance in the proposed compositions.However, everything or almost is homemade. And that's very appreciable. prices are quite in agreement, neither too expensive nor not enough. We would even expect a much more salty addition to the geographical location of this Restaurant. Our waitress has been kind without more. but correct. So nothing to say.Here is, basically, a good little crêperie without any pretention, quite simple, welcoming, friendly. a good experience, we'll come back!Thank you.

The dish of the day is 8,90 € and the coffee is 1,10 €. prices are really reasonable and in beautiful days you can eat on the terrace facing the castle. The street is pedestrian. Smiling and friendly server. Quick service.

We felt that on our journey to francia, we could not miss a crepe. We arrived at pau at around 20:30 and great! this creperia was open in a wider schedule (it is very typical to close over 19.) the experience was great. a wide variety of sweet and salty crepes, very good and at good price. the girl who treated us especially kind. Although my daughters wanted to practice French and therefore the girl used this language, she also spoke a correct Spanish. very advisable place where there would be no doubt in repeating.

Good pancakes at good prices. a nice atmosphere a little further away from the tourist area but in front of the castle. The basquaise chicken is excellent!
