It used to have a charming appeal which was your classic Irish dive bar complete with Irish bartender off the boat. I swear to you this time it look like little Italy exploded and every loudmouth drugs Italian guy had to compete with each other to see who could drown out all semblance of thought by the volume of them telling tales of days gone bye. I don?t think I?ve ever been in bar where the volume was so loud that I literally had to leave. Keep in mind that this is the volume of multiple people yelling at multiple tables just so that they can scream louder then the people at the other tables. Owner is a great guy tried to make things right but the service and general meh of the food was meh?.. While it seemed that they had plenty of it took me three requests to get some gravy and a fork.
Our family decided to give this restaurant a try on Christmas Eve. There’s a fantastic selection of appetizers, traditional Irish dishes, seafood, sandwiches, steaks, and even Italian cuisine. The prices are excellent, especially considering the generous portion sizes. The service was outstanding; our server, Kevin, was very attentive and seemed like a genuinely nice person. He was efficient in ensuring we had everything we needed—drinks, napkins, and condiments. The food also arrived quickly after we ordered. Another staff member, a short-haired lady who appeared to be a manager, assisted Kevin when several more tables were seated, ensuring that everything was taken care of while he was busy. It was great to see them working together to make sure all customers felt attended to. They struck a perfect balance between being prompt and not hurrying us out like some places do. I didn't spend much time at the bar, but when I went to the restroom, the patrons seemed friendly, and the bartender was welcoming.
Update: I visited again on April 3rd for a belated birthday celebration. Unfortunately, I missed the owner, Mike—a great guy!
I ordered French Onion Soup and a Steak Sandwich with Fries. Everything was delicious! The French Onion Soup was outstanding—I'm quite particular about my French Onion Soup—and both the cheese and the broth were fantastic. As for the steak sandwich, it wasn’t a traditional cheesesteak; it consisted of slices of steak on a roll with cheese on the roll itself. It was really good, although I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Just keep in mind it's not the classic cheesesteak. The fries were also tasty, and I even enjoyed the coleslaw and pickle. I was completely stuffed by the end of my meal! The bartender mentioned that there’s parking on the right side of the restaurant, but I parked on the left, which is more suited for the neighboring businesses. It wasn’t an issue at all, though. I'd definitely come back to try something different—it was a great experience!
Came here to see the NHL playoffs and what a game! Definitely fell out of place being a lightning fan in a Rangers area. I still felt completely welcomed by the staff and I was served well. The food was really good I got some appetizers and a drink and everything was definitely worth it. Close to my house so not a bad drive home!
