The restaurant Anderwald located directly at the magnificent carinthian lake Faak am See, led by the owners son Hannes, is THE BEST RESTAURANT we have been to on our road trip during the famous bike week , which takes place every year in september. The outstanding kitchen crew , led by the Austrian intern.Executive Chef Robert, presents outstanding daily meals, with terrific flavours ranging from Europe to Asia. For vegans it's a must as well as for all meat eaters, as Robert presents his daily Chinese Woks in the most original Asian style.We love them We got there with our bikes,it was 10 of us, and first couldn't get a table as the restaurant was fully packed. Then I spoke with one of the waiters to get us a table , his name was Nobby, he wore a typical Austrian Knickerbocker. Although the restaurant was overloaded and packed, he made the effort to get us some drinks while he took care of his station. As said , no seats were available,but Nobby took his time even though he was really busy to set us up with our beers , we were drinking our beers 30 meters away from the terrace, watching the sunset at the beach of lake Faak What a wonderful sight While we enjoyed the sunset drinking beers, Nobby fit und a table in no time at all, and also recommended us the best wine for our dinner . So we ordered a Grüner Veltliner, and then Nobby got us to try the Unplugged Blaufrankisch . We enjoyed his outgoing personality, his people skills, his smile, attentiveness, his skills to work under tremendous pressure,his very great sense of humour, and his unsurpast knowledge of the hospitality industry. We came back next day for coffee brake, Nobby got us to try the home made Gin, and he took his time to explain how the senior boss together with his son Hannes produce their own destilates during off season time in winter. Such great Gin we never had. The owners of the camping place are running up and down the huge camping place all day long, to satisfy every customers needs. We love to come back, and can only recommend Anderwald Camping for all your family and friends. Hannes and Nobby, keep up the great job, we love to see ya soon this summer. Cheers :

Good kitchen to fair trips. the personal is very friendly. the atmosphere is not special, but you cannot expect from a camping place restaurant
