Las Balsas Restaurant

The location is absolutely wonderful and the views of the lake and the mountains add a lot to the experience. Unfortunately, in my Opinon the food does not live until expectation (and price). It's not bad, but much too expensive for what it is. Service was friendly and attentive, but felt pretty slow.

Great experience in this overrated and overpriced restaurant. View is great, but everything else is terrible. Their QR menus did not work, so we had to wait 20 minutes to get a paper menu (which had only a fraction of the options), service was slow and...unprofessional and food was best on average. They forgot my third dish of a 3-course menu, but they still have... Just go to the public beach next to the door and eat somewhere else.

We had a fabulous experience from the outset of aperitifs in the garden to watch the sunset, then to be greeted at our table by Marianella, Daniela and Cecilia, who have cared for us all evening in a very well-kept, relaxed and loving way.... The food was delicious, the portions were just right and exquisite. As my birthday party, it was a real pleasure to get some grappa and sweet victory in the house during the desert thanks! Will definitely come back when in VLA. Some feedback and constructive criticism: The information on the website about the menu and the wines can be improved. The process to get more info by email was so slow that we almost do not book! The English descriptions on the website have several grammatical errors that I would like to point out to improve its quality in order to meet the standard of decor and food. On our arrival we were asked 3 times by 3 different employees whether we had a booking we did! In my humble opinion, the staff in a restaurant of this calibre should know who comes the day. Another point to note: the cook went out to welcome what looked like tables of foreigners. The room was in no case full and it would have been nice that the cook would welcome every table, I was born Argentinean but lived in Australia for 35 years. As a foodie, I would have loved the opportunity to meet Duvan! Come on!

Food was okay, very simple, fish was fresh. I don't think the dessert was good. Too expensive for what it is. With places we are on our journey, which were a fraction of the price. Other options in the city that are... much better.
