It's a traditional restaurant with some German dishes. It has an orchestra some evenings and locals of a certain age enjoy it. Not bad but there are better options nearby.

I prefer to sit outside so you can watch people go by the main drag in Villa General Belgrano. The restaurant has quite a few tables both inside and outside so you're always have a good chance to get one. I have been there without making a reservation every time.On certain evenings there is a band playing German music with players dressed in lederhosen and couples have a go at dancing. They have local artesanal beers and quite a lot of German dishes. If in the Villa a must try.

El Ciervo Rojo offers all meals served throughout the day with Top quality and very reasonable pricing. This cozy place will remind you of an old school German Deli. I´ve visited for Tea with my Mother throughout my childhood and now as an adult, I won´t visit Va Gral Belgrano without having Tea and THE BEST CAKES your buds will Ever taste!! Service is great , outdoors sitting. Warm and cozy during winter time. This is a definite Can´t Miss Spot!!!! I Highly Recommend it!

Pleasant bierkeller with German food, altho menu is limited. Best dishes are Salchicha gorda with Sauerkraut, and Goulash with Spaetzle. Dance on saturday nights to German polka band authentically dressed. Great collection of beer mugs.

Been going to Villa General Belgrano for years.The owner "Inge" is a wonderful lady. Ciervo Rojo is my central starting place in VGB.Her husband Federico passsed away last year after a long illness and I'm sure she is doing fine.I'll be there in october of 2010.
