La Campagnola - Villa faraldi

We have visited this restaurant for 20 years. Fantstic Italian food and lovely people who love wgat they do. Worthwhile trips up the hill above San Damiano. Beautiful views and not far to travel to Thor Thor Heyerdahl's grave at Colla Micere. near Andora. It's all worth a trip for singles, couples and families.

Staying in Rive Faraldi, we were looking for a restaurant in the immediate area and found it via a website. It took a adventures drive over very small mountain roads in the dark to get there but it was well worth it. We came to a small restaurant with a home room style interior with maybe 10 tables of which 8 were occupied. We choose for the menu of the day which was taken by everybody else because the lady of the house served all tables from the same pans and pots at the same time. This created a very nice homely atmosphere. We went through a whole series of antipasti, two dishes of pasta and 2 meat dishes (wild boar and rabbit). All accompanied by a nice Monferrato housewife. The food was all nice to good and we had a great time. Definitely recommended.

We ordered full dinner, and it was amazing! The service was good, and it was very nice. Food tasted amazing. Definitely a place I would recommend to all people!

Before you go here you definitely don't need to eat lunch, or breakfast either. Save some space for the best Ligurian meal you'll ever have. They serve up to 12 dishes. The dinner often lasts more than four hours. Don't eat too much pasta, because you'll need the appetite for the wild boar and the rabbit at the end. Absolutely delicious. Unique experience. My favorite restaurant in the entire world.

This place is soooo nice and worth a long drive. The view of the mountains, the church and the wine is so peaceful. I was here twenty years ago as a teenager and did a lot of work finding the place again this time with my own teenage kids. Wonderful food made with love and the best ingredients. Go there no matter what and remember warm clothes and anti mosquito cream!
