Empordataula Empordalia - Vilajuiga

The place is like a cooperative of villajuiga but shuts very early and hardly has any option on wines but good place to pick up local produce

Started the tour a bit late but made up with the passion and thoroughness of the narrative. Nice wine tasting, great value for money.

Took a wine tour at the Empordalia cooperative in Pau. We booked this via email a few days before. We arrived at 11am to meet Aida, and we were the only 2 people on the tour. Aida took us on a tour of the wine and oil production areas, explaining how the cooperative worked and how they produce the different wines and olive oil. We have never visited any vineyards before, so found this tour very interesting. Aida was very informative, and her English was excellent. Following the tour we were sat down and explained how to see, small and taste the wines, and then tasted 3 different wines, complimented with some matched tapas. A very interesting tour for those who have never done this sort of thing before and at only 7.50 per person, good value. We didn 't get to see any vineyards, but I think that is a different tour. Think we will probably try and visit some other vineyards on future holidays.
