Cafe Cantinho Do Marques

My partner and I visited here recently for lunch, We had an awful experience. Firstly we got told to move over to another table which was fine but the waiter was very aggressive and didn’t tell us where to go he was also on a phone call during this. After this we decided we wanted to get some chips and a drink. The chips arrived in 2 minutes in doing so they was cold and stale. It was impossible to get the waiter back over so we went inside and told them we will not pay for them. After this the waiter was extremely dismissive but luckily we didn’t have pay. They was rude and arrogant we left feeling embarrassed and disgusted.

We asked for a plate. The response was arrogant, saying that we would have to wait “at least one hour”. We asked for another plate, and again, the employee laughed when we order a ordinary “bitoque” with rice, something usual in portugal. “Just chips, no rice, and it’s all you can get”. After waiting 10 minutes just to have someone indicating a table, we quit and move. If you see this restaurant, just run away.

After myself and my partner found a table to sit at a member of staff came over and rudely told us to move tables while he proceeded to be on his phone, once we found another table to sit at with no directions from the member of staff who rudely told us to move in the first place a waiter with a really bad attitude came over and took our order of two streak and chips, when we received our food in the end the chips were cold and stale and the streak was like biting into an old leather belt. i would avoid this restaurant at all costs!!

Restaurante típico Algarvio no centro da cidade Pombalina, com pratos variados muito bem confeccionados, saborosos e bem servidos, ótimo para almoçar e jantar. Muito bom também para petiscos típicos do Sotavento, entre eles salada de estupeta, muxama ou choco frito à espanhola com uma boa sangria branca ao final da tarde depois de um dia de calor. Fiquei sempre satisfeito com o atendimento e atenção prestada pelo staff, de frizar também a limpeza e higiene dos WC's exclusivos para clientes. Recomendado para quem gosta da boa gastronomia do Sotavento Algarvio.
