Transmontano - Vila Real

Simple but delicious. We had porc and lamb. Portions were to big for our stomach , could have done with one meat dish. Accompanied with home fried potato chips and salad. Next day, after a long walk we just wanted bread, local ham and cheese and the lady gave us a very nice plate with salade on the side

I don't know what their special is (maybe daily menu we missed), but definitely it is not veal chops. Bread not fresh, and water not from refrigator when outside temperature is 37 degrees, unbelivable. (Coke was cooler for gods sake, happy didn't try beer)

Desserts were delicious and genuine Portuguese meal. People were very friendly, service was top. We loved this place. It wasn't a tourist trap.

Delicious meat, I highly recommend this place. Great service.
