Taberna do sao Pedro

Restaurante excelente para peixe grelhado ( fresco) muito bem grelhado é bom dizer. Só carece por ano ter muita variedade de peixe. Funcionários um pouco distraídos mas apesar de tudo simpáticos. Comi um robalo grelhado mas como fiquei de olho nas sardinhas assadas mas não queria pedir uma dose, o assador simpático fez-me chegar á mesa duas sardinhas para degustação ( sem ser contado na conta), gostei desta atenção que fez. Gosto deste restaurante sinto-me em casa.

Shrimp and squid skewer was inedible. Shrimp tasted old and dry and the squid was like rubber and I couldn't even cut it. Waitress was very rude and inattentive. If I knew the language, I would have refused to pay for this meal that I...didn't eat. The salad was good.

We felt so pleased to stumble across this while walking round the fishing hamlet. It was a sunny November day so we managed to sit outside and shared a table with an interesting former DDR German couple. Friendly service, delicious cooking smells wafting across from...the outside churasco/grill. The cod fritters were delicious and we ordered grilled sea bream and cuttlefish with its black ink. It was divine. The food comes with a tasty olive oil and parsley dressing and large soft boiled warm potatoes. The flan or 'pudding ' looked so good but we were full up and settled on a coffee. Great local white wine too. For two of us 41 euros. We would definitely return! A MUST visit.

We Ate here on Wednesday evening. The waitress and staff may have been busy but made us fell very unwelcome. Would not go back or recommend to a non local. Food was good but very expensive compared with cafe on the front we ate in...the next night.

Really delicious seafood barbequed to order with nice salads and starters and tasty desserts. Pleasant outdoor seating in the street of this lovely little town on the Douro. A real pity this is let down by service that is neither attentive nor pleasant.
