The food was tasty, but the price is quite above average and service is not great. The waiter brought a table of cold cuts and cheeses and a portion of snacks as entree, both of which we didn't order so we thought they were complimentary. As it happens, these costed 14 euros. The final bill was 45 euros for 2 persons, which is quite high for Portugal. We usually eat very well for half this price. The waiter also spent a lot of time chatting with customers in another table and left us waiting a long time for service.

Excelente indicação de uma senhora num fim de tarde na praia de salgueiros, viemos conhecer a casa e fomos super bem recebidos, deixei que me indicasse os pratos: Bacalhau à Retiro e Vitela assada no forno. Fantástico dos melhores que já comi em todo Portugal.

The quality, atmosphere and service absolutely top. Food is fabulous. If you want to try traditional home cocked food, this is a place.

This place is a small family restaurant with great options if you like fish and also some regional Portuguese meat plates. The food has very high quality affordable prices. This is one of those restaurants where you know your gonna get a great meal. I highly recommend it.
