Restaurante Dallas

I went there on some local's advice and was not dissapointed. It is a small place with old fashioned decoration (many American stuff, I guess the owners lived there for a time). Nice table wine, excellent cod (bacalhau in the local tongue) so, definitely, worth a visit

There were only two tables being used the owner did not like it when we said we didn't want to be be in the corner at the rear of the restaurant. When I asked for a bottle of Vino Verde he said we don't have it . We are a region of red wine growers. The pork meat was very good. We asked for very a plate of vegetables. To our disbelief we got a dish of saute bread pieces, a few little pieces of cabbage black eye beans all mixed together. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL !!! I suppose having a restaurant name like DALLAS should have made us become aware of stepping inside. Cheap but a total waste of money. Plenty other places to spend your money !!

It doesn’t look so appealing on the outside but the food is excellent, traditional portuguese cuisine

Simple but friendly and cozy atmosphere. The service is quite good. The lady who served us was very, very nice and quite efficient. You really waited very little for having your complete meal on the table. There were two fish and two meat choices as day plates . Beyond these you have a choice of about 30 other meat and fish dishes. The arroz de pato (duck meat rice) and cavala grelhada (grilled fish) were very good. The vegetables were great. The list of wines is quite acceptable.
