O Sapinho - Vila Do Bispo

I really liked this place. We went out of season and had been walking on the cliffs near Sagres. We needed somewhere to eat and we could not find anywhere open. What a relief when we found this place. It is really genuine Portuguese food, not fancy but authentic. It was not necessarily the finest quality but it was well cooked, very tasty and very satisfying. We ordered a meal that consisted of rice, chips, steak and chicken. It was cooked the way that my Portuguese and Brazilian friends cook at home when we visit. If you are after a “fancy meal” this might not be the right place, but if you are after a filling, tasty, authentic “home-cooked style” of meal this is a great place to go. It probably helped that my wife and I speak fluent Portuguese, as we enjoyed chatting with the staff who were really friendly. When we are back in the area after the lockdown ends, we will definitely visit again.

We stumbled across this gem and what a find! Freshly cooked whole crab €15 was mouth wateringly devine but the Prawns with rice and fries you need he fries to mop up the amazing sauce! was just to die for! The staff were so helpful and very friendly. Don’t forget to ask for the digestive after, served in the most dinky Sagres cup! Our favourite restaurant in the area by far!

Due to the fact that northern ams center european countries inforced all the economic measures to Portugal,most of the people in the area live through tourism That means that the prices are a bit over the roof for what you get. But on the other hand people that come for example from uk Germany etc are used to fried frozen low quality overpriced seafood. Taking that into consideration,its brilliant! Tsusssschi!

We had rice with seafood and perceves (300gr) and both were very tasty and good por the price. I highly recommend this place for this two dishes.

We went there for dinner, both had a fish of the day (dorado & salmon). Food was good but nothing special. Service was less: had to wait around 15min for our bill. But price-quality this place is okay!
