I heard mention of a good Indian restaurant in Viernheim, so I decided to check it out. Amar Palace has an extensive menu of North Indian specialties, for vegetarians and non vegetarians alike. In order to sample a small variety of what Amar Palace has to offer, I ordered a set menu for one. While waiting for my meal to be served, I quenched my thirst with some sweet lassi and tastes the set of condiments provided at each table spicy and pungent mixed Pikal, sweet mango chutney and a fiery Vindaloo sauce. The appetisers mixed vegetables pakoras are a bit dense but well spiced with a fiery aftertaste. They are served with 3 dipping sauces: sweet and sour tamarind tomato ketchup, spicy mint and refreshing yogurt mint. Chicken Hariali was my main course it came fresh from the tandoori oven. Tender chunks of chicken marinated in a mix of spices and mint, brought to the table on a sizzling hot plate, alongside a small bowl of creamy curry sauce. A generous piece of naan and basmati rice complete the offering. For dessert, there 's Firni a pudding made with coarse rice paste, milk, sugar, almonds and cardamom. Refreshing cold, creamy and grainy, it cools down the palate effectively after a spicy meal. Overall a very tasty experience. I will return to sample more dishes!
In an industrial area, not far from B38, Amar Palace is an Indian restaurant with a Tandoori oven. The often annoying car park search in cities has already been omitted. From the outside it is rather inconspicuous, but in the guest room it is beautifully decorated with carved dark wood furniture from India, exotic wall hangings, even the walls are partly decorated with original Indian carvings. On the tables fabric tablecloths with matching napkins and wind lights everything quite tasteful. Friendly welcome by the service power, a master with turban, who led us to our table and quickly brought the menus. In addition to a wide selection of appetizers and meat dishes, mainly lamb, chicken, there are also fish and meeeres, as well as a wide selection of vegetarian dishes and also some vegan dishes. For this purpose, as a speciality, traditional Indian dishes from the Tandooriofen special oven made of clay or ceramic, which is heated with wood, the meat stays long in the oven and is cooked so gently low-temperature, so that it does not dry, so it stays tender and juicy at the same time gets a light smoke aroma, also the Naanbrot tastes so prepared from the Tandooriofen around a multiple At noon a buffet is offered at a reasonable lunch price As always with the Indian I ordered Mango Lassi yogurt drink with mango and some lemon I love it, my companion drank Pils. As appetizers: Dal soup slightly sharp lentil soup with all kinds of exotic spices very well mixed appetizer plate Samosa doughche filled with potatoes and vegetables,Mixed Pakora vegetables with cherryberry flour panned and fritted Machli Pakora fish in Panade frit there was a slight mint yoghurt sauce fine. :Chicken Muglai with basmatire chicken breast with cashew nuts, almonds and exotic spices in creamy yoghurt cream sauce great spice composition, meat very delicate. Chicken Tikka Marsala chicken from the Tandooriofen with ginger, onions and garlic strongly seasoned but not too sharp. That I wanted to go to my court instead of Basmatrei's rather Naanbrot was not a problem and was not calculated extra. Everything was served in beautiful copper-colored vessels at the table with extra warming plate, very appealing. In general, it is possible to choose in all dishes whether you prefer normal sharp or extra sharp preparation, this extra sharp order should be carefully superior before ordering! because I have already noticed at invitations to Indians at home that what Indians feel as normal spiced, from an average medium European to which I count, is already perceived as sharp to very sharp. So that I always choose to choke normally you can always . I did not have to do here at Amar Palace. Quiet Indian music accompanied our food very pleasant atmosphere. Indian coffee with spices rounded off our visit today.
