Orders for beverages were quickly placed and arrived in time. Orders for food then took quite a lot of time and the dishes arrive, took 45 minutes for soups and then another 25 minutes for the main dishes. The food was, according to my guests, medium for the paprika chicken in order for the polnta, quite good for the eggplant parmigianata. The Schremser beer was excellent. Get the waiter to produce the bill took another 35 minutes. Prices a little steep and unacceptable service.
We booked in advance. Locals eat there - what better recommendation! A small cozy restaurant with an interesting menu. The food was great and beautifully presented. The waiter was pleased to translate/explain the items in the menu. The wine is a little expensive, but very good (typically 30 euros per bottle), although you can buy the house wine through the glass for less (south not through the bottle). We really enjoyed the ambience and a great meal. We'd eat there again! A fine culinary experience, costs about 120 euros for two (including a 30 euros bottle of wine).
After I was denied at Shopik and because I had not reserved wages, I tried to swallow the market. So glad I did it! They were full for the night, but let me eat at the bar, as I was alone on the way. The server helped me with food recommendations and when they were out of the beer I had asked, she recommended another. I finished what was essentially a chic steak salad with mushrooms and an amazing sauce. Her dessert with the broken spice cake was also spectacular. Overall, this was the best meal and the best culinary experience I had in an otherwise disappointing Viennese restaurant scene. Nice, small key staff and restaurant. Very recommended!
Close to the local Karmelitermarkt, a food market, Marktlücke is a very stylish restaurant that opens every day (except Sundays) at 5.pm. Food is very good and of top quality. Service team is highly motivated and very friendly. Outdoor seating available.
Came here for dinner and had a fantastic time from the beginning to the end! The cocktails on arrival were excellent; some good variations on a classic theme, our favorite was the Rose martini. For the net we had the short rib and the Sea Bass, both were incredibly delicious and with a very generous portion size that made it all the better! For pudding we had the chocolate soufflé with Mango Sorbet incredible. The waiters were helpful, delivered English menus and had an excellent knowledge of wines that they were able to pair us with a suitable red for our food. I would definitely recommend a visit.
