The food was extremely tasty and the staff very, very nice and friendly. They were permanently checking if you have everything you need on the table and you could see it was important for them that the customers are feeling good. The place is small, so making a reservation is advised. At the end we received schnaps from the house! I was so full that I couldn 't order a dessert, though I am curious how the Ilona Palatschinke , the dessert of the house, tastes.
Lovely little Hungarian place on a side street in the bustling Vienna city center. Super value for money as it had very big portions (even for the small portions). Highly recommend the beef gulash soup it was the highlight of the meal for me. Tasted very rich and authentic, and definitely brought back memories of when I lived in Budapest. Also, handy that the place had wifi!
Well, where to start? the restaurant is located in the historic center, 2 minutes from the cathedral. the location is suggestive (locanda from 40 seats max,) recalls the Hungarian tradition combined with the alley where there is an unusual and little replicable atmosphere elsewhere. The staff is very manageable, friendly and multilingual (menu translated into 10 languages: German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Hungarian, Russian, Slovak, Chinese and Japanese). Now we go to the kitchen: and rather fast, in four we were all very satisfied. they had suggested the goulash and we took it of pork, beef and veal (there is also chicken wanting,) the goto is lighter (maiale) and stronger (manzo,) respectively, while the veal is a right middle way between the two. The average cost of a dish is quite high, but I consider the location, the quantity of portions and the quality of the meat is absolutely worth it. If you're in the middle of the streets and want to taste something new, I recommend it. I also recommend that you book.
