I ordered two delicious meat pasties earlier this December, and I was really impressed! During the pandemic, the restaurant offers the option to pre-order food for convenient pickup at the door. We heated the pasties at home, and they turned out perfectly. My only complaint is that the restaurant doesn’t have a permanent vegetarian menu item; there’s usually only one option available, and the recipe changes frequently. All the other pasties and cakes contain meat. The soups, salads, and desserts are labeled as seasonal or weekly specials, but their ingredients aren’t listed online, which makes it a bit of a gamble for vegetarians or vegans.

It feels like you've walked into a hidden gem straight out of Great Britain. The pies are fantastic, but there’s no seating available.

Mmm. The Yooper pasty was delicious, especially with ketchup. Truly perfect! The owner is fantastic. I happened to arrive a bit late, but she kindly allowed me to purchase a few pies just after closing time.
