The Dining Room Oak Bay Beach

All in all is was a generally good place the have dinner. I did make a reservation and made it clear that is was for a birthday and thought it a tad cheap not to have served so much as a piece of day old cake with a candle. Rather disappointing. For the quality of wine served it was well over priced. I would recommend Faro's over The Snug Pub.

The menu is definitely “pub food”. Not fine dining. Service was incredibly slow. We were seated close enough to the bar to hear the bartender and a waiter discuss “jerking off”. Their conversation was peppered with the “F” bomb. Not impressive!

The food and the service were outstanding. The ambiance was not what it used to be, but the restaurant didn't have C-19 to contend with. Everyone did very well given the circumstances.

A Shrimp Pizza (shared) and a salad(shared) fed two people well for lunch ,with about a third of each to take home. Delicious flavour combinations in both dishes. Service excellent, server personable. Didn't notice sound level, too absorbed in outstanding food. Would visit again and recommend to friends.

Shared the special appetizer- meatballs, also had Barata, and broccolini appetizers. Ordered 3 types of pizza. Everything was delicious !! Server was very helpful with the wine suggestions. Really nice evening
