The Hot Cold Cafe - Victoria

This little cafe tucked away in Cook St Village has been on my radar for awhile. Menu is local and organic, and mainly vegetarian with lots of vegan options. Tried the daily sandwich special: maple tempeh focaccia sandwich lentil soup. Full sandwich and small soup came to $16. Bit pricey. However, meal was fresh and delicious. Flavour combination for sandwich was very good with thinly sliced apple and avocados, and soup was hearty and filling with lots of veggies. A great place to eat after a walk along Dallas Rd or Beacon Hill, especially if craving something nutritious and delicious.

Stopped for lunch here while on vacation. Delicious! Had egg salad sandwich with avacado, curry soup, green salad. Flavors were perfect, portions good, food quality great. Highly recommend it...

Enjoyed the yellow coconut curry soup ... very filling and tasty.  Hubby had the BBQ chicken sandwich and the red seafood chowder.  He didn't like the chicken too much boiled chicken trenched in bbq sauce was how he described it.  Also, the chowder was not as good as the curry soup ... maybe because it was only lukewarm?!

Get a quickie!! Who doesn't like a quickie in the am?. Delicious! I was never a fan of breakfast sandwiches until i went to hot and cold! outstanding!! Owner chef operated business are always the best, especially when the owner hires chefs that are passionate about what they do. I love your food and can't wait to return! Curry soup is my fave!!

Do yourself a favor at eat here!. The Hot and Cold Cafe is mine and my friends favorite! The staff is super friendly and wonderful! The food is amazing, soups, sandwiches and salads, some of the best in Victoria. They make their focaccia bread fresh in house and serve all the sandwiches on it. My favorite menu items would have to be the baked brie sandwich, yellow curry coconut soup and the goddess salad. The prices are very reasonable and fair too. This place is amazing and I love it so much! Highly recommended to anyone!
