However, eating (sonnay roast) was not great, the filling was so hard I could literally not chew it or even cut it with a knife. the waiter seemed very little to take care of and did not offer to exchange him when I made a comment. he also mixed our order and also did not exchange, just expected us to be happy with it.
We used to go there many times with our puppy. Then all of the sudden the dog is not allowed upstairs anymore. Instead of friendly explaining the change, the owner had a very arrogant and rude manner. He looked at the dog and impatiently told his staff not that one. When I requested to speak with him asking him about the change. He went on saying (AGAIN VERY IMPATIENT ARROGANT AND RUDE this is the policy and the Law that dogs are not allowed in place serving food. But this is a pub!!! And if you do not want dogs in why cannot you just explain friendly and treat your customers with some respect and patience?! When we left the pub he even shouted loudly behind our backs and laughingxxxx I told you! What kind of boorish behaviour!! If you do not know how to treat or speak with people friendly, better not open a pub to spoil others evenings!
Would be a great pub if it wasn't for the shockingly rude and abrupt what I presume to be the landlady/manager. Made us feel very unwelcome and turned what was meant to be a chilled couple of drinks into a swift exit and no further drink orders. I wonder how much more patronage has been lost due to this behaviour I am usually forgiving of anyone working in customer service but this experience requires singling out for how appalling it was.
Have to one star the pub. Nice location. Grabbed a pint on an empty Sunday evening. Immediately yelled at the bar has a “no phones, no laptop” policy. Didn’t see this anywhere, and since I was there to do some work and have a couple pints, made the whole thing a bit useless. Didn’t take a sip of my ale but they still charged me for it. Charming. (Am fine about the policy if I had known; if it’s somewhere I couldn’t see it and a more gentle admonishment for a newcomer might be appropriate)
Took my money for beers first then tell me to get off my phone as part of some archaic policy to increase social interaction and somehow increase sales? And was even accused of doing it recently I haven’t been here in years. Honestly the owners are insane. You wouldn’t know it’s 2022
