Order was large (ebi tempura; yakitori; salmon and ahi sashimi; steak sauce so we can add it to our home cooked rice; a few rolls; ebi nigiri; edamame and some miso). The meal while a bit on the expensive side was stunning. Sashimi portions were top quality and sizeable. Everyone around the table agreed it was one of our best sushi feasts ever. Will definitely try them again to see if it’s consistent or if we just got lucky.
This was the first time my husband and I visited Omakase, and I must say it will not be the last. I truly wish that we had started coming here sooner. The service is excellent as the waitresses are prompt, very sweet, and mild mannered. They greet you as soon as you enter the door and when you leave. As soon as you're done eating, they come to take the plates away, and if you order a beer, the instant they are at the table with it they start pouring it for you, so if you prefer drinking from the bottle, tell them quickly! The only downside to the service is that the appetizers were served not together and with our first roll of sushi of our main course. It didn't rush things, it was simply a tad awkward to have edamame, sunomono salad and a roll all at once, but in the land of complaints, that's really small honestly. But the real gem here is the sushi. It was amazing. I cannot sing its praises enough. The Electric Avenue roll melts in your mouth. The texture, and flavour is better than I thought it would be, and the pieces of BBQ eel are the biggest I have had in/on a roll in Victoria. Usually they are thin slices and I'm wishing there was more everywhere else I go, but Omakase really stepped up the game when it comes to giving you a good portion of BBQ eel. It's a shame the Electric Avenue roll is so short though, because I could live off of it. The Mame-ten, a roll with a soy bean wrap, was the first time I've ever had a sushi roll in a soy bean wrap that didn't dry out my mouth and take away from the food. It was fantastic. The sushi chef here is a treasure. Yes, the prices are on the high side, but it was well worth the food, and the service. We will most certainly be coming back.
It’s a very nice place to hangout with friends. We ordered the happy hour special cocktail for only 6 dollars! Sashimi is fresh and sushi tastes sooooo good! Highly recommend!
I enjoy having dishes in this small Japanese restaurant. I'm not big fan of sushi but their sushis are good and popular. My favorite dish es here include deep fried oysters and pan fried dumplings.
Only take out allowed but sushi rolls are quite good
