Nubo Kitchen - Victoria

I’ve ordered out a few times from this restaurant and I’ve had great meals each time! I’ve ordered the spicy tuna roll and the UFC (deep fried) twice now and each time they are excellent. They are covered in the perfect amount of sauce and spice, it rarely takes too long for my order to be ready for pick up, and the fish is always fresh.

Great place for both lunch and dinner. The lunch specials at Nubo are a highlight and offer an excellent variety. Whether you're in the mood for a light lunch or a more substantial meal, their lunch menu caters to all appetites.

Great visit tonight. Awesome food, check out the Lucky Strike Roll. Excellent, we will be back!

Very poor customer service. Racist jokes were made coming from the staff and not even an apology was given.I will not recommend ever here. There are better places in Victoria that treat people with respect.

Ratial micro-aggresion costumer service!I called the restaurant to confirm my reservation, and tried to explain a situation about a message I received earlier. The person on the phone says “I’m sorry I don’t speak Spanish”… he laughs and asks me for the name of the reservation.I’ve been in Canada for more than 10 years, I speak 3 languages and this is the very first time it happens to me!I know it’s hard to understand on the phone while being in a busy environment, but there are ways to address it without being racist and disrespectful.While in the restaurant, I talked to the manager (he barely let me talk); and made clear I wasn't looking for any discount. He says “I’m very sorry” but he shows no emphaty at all which made me think it could’ve been him on the phone.It’s 2024, this cannot happen to another person. If you attempted to be funny, you were clearly not. Note that this was a racial microaggression.I hesitated to write this review but honestly you need to educate your staff!
